World Children’s Rights Day 2021
And you, do you know your rights?
On the occasion of the next World Children’s Rights Day, Saturday 20 November 2021, the Children’s Museum Verona celebrates the occasion with a calendar of activities to celebrate together with all the children who visit the museum!
World Children’s Rights Day, or International Day for the Rights of the Child, is an important date celebrated all over the world to commemorate the signing of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Italy signed in 1991.
We will celebrate together by travelling through the stories of many children like those who fill our classrooms or who live in distant worlds.
We will play with some of the articles of the UN Convention to get even the youngest children thinking about issues such as disability, equality, education and growing up in a happy environment.
A morning full of experiential activities to convey an important message to our young guests: it is essential to protect and safeguard children’s rights in order to aim for a future where there is no more discrimination or inequality.
Find out how we respect children in our museum: read the Children’s Museum Verona manifesto!
